چکیده

Emission from the excited terminal states of bound exciton-donor complexes has been observed in several I I — V I compounds. Studying these optical transitions allows one to determine the donor ionization energies, the electron effective masses as well as the electron (/-values in these materials. A good theoretical fit to the experimental data was obtained, using the effective mass approximation. Emission from the excited terminal states o f bound exciton-acceptor complexes has not yet been observed in these materials. There is no basic reason why such transitions should not occur. Studying transitions o f this type would allow one to obtain fundamental information concerning the acceptor impurities in these materials.

Theory of Donor - Bound Multi - Exciton Complexes in Germanium

We report calculations of ground and excited state energies for multiexciton complexes bound to phosphorus, arsenic, and bismuth donors in germanium. Band structure effects are included in a self consistent density functional calculation. Theoretical recombination spectra derived from our results agree very well with existing data. The results imply the existence of a kinetic bottleneck to the ...

Zeeman spectroscopy of donor bound exciton states in ZnTe

2014 We have performed a series of Zeeman experiments on the lines corresponding to the recombination of the different states of the exciton bound to the neutral donor in ZnTe. This definitely proves that the lowest of these states has the expected 03938 symmetry of the valence band, while it displays a cubic anisotropy much larger than the one measured on neutral acceptor. The higher excited s...

Probing Exciton States in Hybrid Perovskite Semiconductors

Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites are a new generation of photovoltaic semiconductors that do not use scarce metals. Study of the viability of these materials involves detailed understanding of the various states an electron may go through in the material. Exciton states are bound excited electronic states just below the conduction band where the electron is essentially orbiting the “hole,” ...

Ultrafast Luminescence Decay in Rhenium(I) Complexes with Imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-Phenanthroline Ligands: TDDFT Method

The interpretation of the ultrafast luminescence decay in [Re(Br(CO)3(N^N)] complexes as a new group of chromophoric imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-phenanthroline ligands, including 1,2-dimethoxy benzene, tert-butyl benzene (L4) and 1,2,3-trimethoxy benzene, tert-butyl benzene (L6), was studied. Fac-[Re(Br(CO)3L4 and L6] with different aryl groups were calculated in singlet and triplet excited states. The...

Direct visualization of exciton reequilibration in the LH1 and LH2 complexes of Rhodobacter sphaeroides by multipulse spectroscopy.

The dynamics of the excited states of the light-harvesting complexes LH1 and LH2 of Rhodobacter sphaeroides are governed, mainly, by the excitonic nature of these ring-systems. In a pump-dump-probe experiment, the first pulse promotes LH1 or LH2 to its excited state and the second pulse dumps a portion of the excited state. By selective dumping, we can disentangle the dynamics normally hidden i...
